Over 40 Years of Medical Experience
Medical Director at Cross Timbers Hospice since 1983
Mark has been with Cross Timbers Hospice since 2002.
As the Executive Director, I am both humbled and honored to work with such caring and compassionate hospice care professionals. With the financial support and hundreds of volunteer hours donated to Cross Timbers annually, the citizens of Ardmore and the surrounding communities have placed their trust and confidence in us. We appreciate their support and work tirelessly to maintain that trust and confidence.
Jenny has been with Cross Timbers for over 20 years and is our Patient Care Coordinator. She is in charge of the day-to-day care that is provided by the fifty-plus members of our clinical staff. Each patient is assigned to a team which is made up of an RN, LPN, Hospice Aide, Social Worker, Chaplain, and a Volunteer if desired.
Our four-member on-call team allows patients and their caregivers access to care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our Clinical Staff also includes physical, occupational, speech, and dietary therapists to provide patients a full spectrum of care.
Leigh Ann Papin has her Master of Social Work (MSW) and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has been the Director of Social Services & Bereavement since 2012.
Leigh Ann oversees our Social Workers who are instrumental in navigating the many issues that can arise during a life-limiting illness.
Leigh Ann also oversees our Bereavement and Caregiver Support program. Our counselors are available to provide support to patients and their families in coping with feelings of anticipatory grief and loss associated with serious illness.
Chaplain Matt Benedick has his Master of Divinity from the Abilene Christian University. He has been the Director of Chaplain Services since 2013.
Matt oversees our inter-denominational Chaplain Team who are specially trained to provide the unique spiritual care necessary with long-term illness, loss, and grief. Our chaplains will follow your lead and provide support in whatever way requested.
Shelly has been with Cross Timbers for over 20 years and coordinates all of our volunteers and their caregiving. Our volunteers play a critical role in the care provided by Cross Timbers. On average, our volunteers provide close to 2,000 hours annually of their time to our patients and family members. If you have the time and desire to help, we would love to find a place for you on our team!
